Sparkly Moo & Molly Moo by Moo Moo Signatures

mollysparklymoo

Happy weekend everyone!

Today I am featuring two new colours from Moo Moo Signatures – Sparkly Moo and Molly Moo. The inspiration behind these two colours derived from Mei Mei’s other obsession of needle felting.

Sparkly Moo is inspired and named after Moo Moo Sparkly (see pic of MMS here). Sparkly Moo is a gorgeous concoction of plum holo base accented with gold, red, blue holo iridescent glitters and purple flakies. The consistency was superb with strong holo effect and application was heavenly smooth. I only needed two coats for full opacity.sparklymoosparklymoo(1)sparklymoo(2)sparklymoo(5)sparklymoo(3)sparklymoo(4)

Molly Moo is inspired and named after Moo Moo Molly (see pic of MMS here). Molly Moo is a unique mix of grey holo with sterling silver and gunmetal flakies, silver ultra holo glitters and flakies. The consistency was a tiny bit thick which is understandable considering so much magical ingredients were mixed inside. But it certainly did not hinder the application process. The holo effect is a little more muted as compared to Sparkly Moo which is pretty normal for a grey holo. I used three coats for the photos.mollymoomollymoo(1)mollymoo(4)mollymoo(2)mollymoo(3)mollymoo(5)mollymoo(6)

Mei Mei again hit the ball out of the park with these two new creations! The colour, the mix, the consistency and not forgetting the inspiration behind these two colours are much to be raved about! I love both of them but if I have to pick and since I normally have a penchant for plum colours I’d pick Sparkly Moo!

You can purchase Moo Moo Signatures’ polishes (Big 3 Free) or grab yourself a cute Moo over HERE.

Don’t forget to follow Moo Moo Signatures’ Facebook and Moo Moo Signatures’ Instagram for any updates!

You Down With P&P? Ya You Know Me by Pretty & Polished

Howdy everyone! Today I have an oldie colour which might have the longest name ever to show you – You Down With P&P? Ya You Know Me by Pretty & Polished. Quite a mouthful!

You Down With P&P? Ya You Know Me is a charcoal grey jelly base accented with blue, green and turquoise hex glitters. Application was a breeze but was slightly on the sheer side so you might need at least 3 coats for full opacity. I had 3 coats and a coat of topcoat on.you down with p&p ya you know meyou down with p&p ya you know me(1)you down with p&p ya you know me(3)you down with p&p ya you know me(2)

Though I would have preferred it to be less sheer, I like how it looked on my nails. Therefore this is a love for me!

As this is an oldie, it has since been discontinued. You can still check out many great creations from Pretty & Polished over at her store HERE or international stockist like Mei Mei Signatures.

Nostalgia by Polished by KPT

Good day everyone! Today’s post going to be quick featuring Nostalgia by Polished by KPT.

Nostalgia is a thermal colour changing polish. Its colour changes from a dusty pale gray when warm to a dark purple when cold. And it is loaded with goodness of duochrome shimmers that shift from violet to green. The shift to green shimmers are not easily visible unless at a certain angles. Formula was great with no application issue and 2 coats were enough for coverage. Pardon me as the swatch looked a little wrinkled. This is what happened when I get impatient and dip my nails in to icy cold water without letting the polish dry enough. You are seeing 2 coats plus topcoat.nostalgia by lacquer lustnostalgia by lacquer lust(1)nostalgia by lacquer lust(3)nostalgia by lacquer lust(2)

This is definitely a like for me! Nice colour contrast and good formula.

Nostalgia is out of stock at Polished by KPT and its international stockists but it is still available at Rainbow Connection UK.

Dark Knight by Fancy Gloss

Today I am going to show you a new-to-me brand, Fancy Gloss. Honestly I have never heard of this brand till Mei Mei Signatures began to stock them and I was instantly drawn to Dark Knight.

Dark Knight is a thermal polish that changes from a dark grey when warm to a steel blue when cold. It is actually quite unusual to have such a dark coloured thermal but I love it. Though the changes are not dramatic, you definitely can spot the changes. The scattered holo definitely added a nice touch to it. Formula was a little on the thin and sheer side so 3 coats were inevitable. Application was easy and topcoat did not dull the holo effect.fancy gloss dark knightfancy gloss dark knight(1)fancy gloss dark knight(2)

Though the colour transition wasn’t dramatic, I like the dark effect and the holographic effect added a nice accent to it.

I purchased my bottle from Mei Mei Signatures or you can find Fancy Gloss at her Big Cartel Store.

Dexter Collection by Cadillacquer

Today I have another instalment of Cadillacquer swatches inspired from yet another widely watched TV drama series to show you. There are 9 colours in this collection but I am known to go overboard with polish haul and I am trying to be good and restrain myself a little, so I picked out 3 out of the 9 lovelies.

Let’s start with Have A Killer Day. I can’t really put my finger on the base colour, sometimes it looked grey, and sometimes it looked lavender. So I’ll just say this is a grey with a tint of lavender hue with bright pink square and hex glitters, smaller purple glitters and blue shimmers as well. The formula is good with a slight unevenness. I like the colour combination in this. I used 3 coats for my swatch.cadillacquer have a killer daycadillacquer have a killer day(1)cadillacquer have a killer day(3)cadillacquer have a killer day(2)

The End Begins. A deep green base with gold and copper shimmers and glitters. Application was super easy with 2 coats. It is with no surprise that I love this as it is green. I really love how much the golden coppery shimmers and glitters pop against the green base.cadillacquer the end beginscadillacquer the end begins(1)cadillacquer the end begins(3)cadillacquer the end begins(2)

Though I am a green colour lover, The Dark Defender won me over hands down. This is a super gorgeous dark blue jelly base with blue, green and purple flecks. Formula is thin but not terrible. I used 3 coats for full coverage. I enlarged one of the photo to give you an idea how pretty it is. I cannot imagine anyone not liking this. Love!cadillacquer the dark defendercadillacquer the dark defender(1)cadillacquer the dark defender(2)cadillacquer the dark defender(3)cadillacquer the dark defender(4)cadillacquer the dark defender(5)

I really love this collection especially The Dark Defender. Have you tried any of these? Which is your favourite?

You can grab these at Cadillacquer or at the following online sellers:

Dance Legend Termo Shine 180

Today I am very excited to share with you a very gorgeous thermal polish from Dance Legend. I actually swatched this last night and totally fell in love with it right away and can’t wait to post this up.

Dance Legend Thermo Shine 180 is unlike many thermal polishes that I own, instead of just being the usual crème base this actually contains glitters. On my nails and in the warm state it showed a translucent grey and transitioned in to a black when cold. The silver glitters added an edgy look to it and complimented the two shades really well. I totally love it! The jelly formula was a little thick and sheer so I used 3 coats for my photos with topcoat. The dry time was a little slow too. I went a little crazy with the photos because I just love love love this so much.

Have I said enough that I love this? The dramatic contrast of the colour with the silver glitters just make this really unique and a must have in my opinion. If I had to complain, I wished that all Dance Legend’s polishes came with a smaller brush cap for easier grip.

You can purchase Dance Legend at their official website HERE. But a word of caution, Russian Post are notoriously slow, I once had an order that took four months to reach me. Otherwise Dance Legend can also be found at Ninja Polish and Color4nails

Conglomerate by SpaRitual

Hi nail world! Today’s post going to be a quickie as I have a couple of things to be done in the house.

Conglomerate by SpaRitual is a murky greenish grey base with gold shimmers and flecks accented with small black and white glitters. This polish is a bit of a chameleon, at different lightings sometimes it looked like an olive green, sometimes a grey. I always have a soft spot for unique furgly colours and this fits the bill of a furgly colour. Unfortunately the formula isn’t anywhere near perfect. It is a little thick and somewhat patchy but opaque in two coats. Topcoat was added.conglomerateconglomerate1conglomerate3conglomerate2

I love the furgly colour and the surprising mix of black and white glitters but the formula is undesirable. SpaRitual are not readily available in Singapore hence it is not easy for me to purchase it. I think I bought this while I was in Hong Kong for business trip.
