Sparkly Moo & Molly Moo by Moo Moo Signatures

mollysparklymoo

Happy weekend everyone!

Today I am featuring two new colours from Moo Moo Signatures – Sparkly Moo and Molly Moo. The inspiration behind these two colours derived from Mei Mei’s other obsession of needle felting.

Sparkly Moo is inspired and named after Moo Moo Sparkly (see pic of MMS here). Sparkly Moo is a gorgeous concoction of plum holo base accented with gold, red, blue holo iridescent glitters and purple flakies. The consistency was superb with strong holo effect and application was heavenly smooth. I only needed two coats for full opacity.sparklymoosparklymoo(1)sparklymoo(2)sparklymoo(5)sparklymoo(3)sparklymoo(4)

Molly Moo is inspired and named after Moo Moo Molly (see pic of MMS here). Molly Moo is a unique mix of grey holo with sterling silver and gunmetal flakies, silver ultra holo glitters and flakies. The consistency was a tiny bit thick which is understandable considering so much magical ingredients were mixed inside. But it certainly did not hinder the application process. The holo effect is a little more muted as compared to Sparkly Moo which is pretty normal for a grey holo. I used three coats for the photos.mollymoomollymoo(1)mollymoo(4)mollymoo(2)mollymoo(3)mollymoo(5)mollymoo(6)

Mei Mei again hit the ball out of the park with these two new creations! The colour, the mix, the consistency and not forgetting the inspiration behind these two colours are much to be raved about! I love both of them but if I have to pick and since I normally have a penchant for plum colours I’d pick Sparkly Moo!

You can purchase Moo Moo Signatures’ polishes (Big 3 Free) or grab yourself a cute Moo over HERE.

You Down With P&P? Ya You Know Me by Pretty & Polished

Howdy everyone! Today I have an oldie colour which might have the longest name ever to show you – You Down With P&P? Ya You Know Me by Pretty & Polished. Quite a mouthful!

You Down With P&P? Ya You Know Me is a charcoal grey jelly base accented with blue, green and turquoise hex glitters. Application was a breeze but was slightly on the sheer side so you might need at least 3 coats for full opacity. I had 3 coats and a coat of topcoat on.you down with p&p ya you know meyou down with p&p ya you know me(1)you down with p&p ya you know me(3)you down with p&p ya you know me(2)

Though I would have preferred it to be less sheer, I like how it looked on my nails. Therefore this is a love for me!

As this is an oldie, it has since been discontinued. You can still check out many great creations from Pretty & Polished over at her store HERE or international stockist like Mei Mei Signatures.

Bird Of Paradise by Glam Polish

Good Sunday everyone! How is everyone?

Today I have for you Bird Of Paradise by Glam Polish from the Nature’s Beauty trio collection for your pleasure viewing.

Bird of Paradise is a bright green jelly base with array of coloured glitters. There are just too many different colours of glitters that I couldn’t name all of them out. Application was easy and what is also great about is it didn’t drag and dried pretty smooth for a glitter bomb. However it did show some visible nail line if you are not going to coat at least 3 layers. For full opacity on my nails I had to use 4 coats. 2 layers of topcoat were added.bird of paradise by glam polishbird of paradise by glam polish(1)bird of paradise by glam polish(3)bird of paradise by glam polish(2)

Most glitter bomb polishes tend to have application issue but I really love that this applied so easily and beautifully. I would however attempt to use it over a matching base the next time.

Bird Of Paradise is still available over at Mei Mei Signatures or you may hunt it down from any of these international stockist near you.

Good Evening Clarice & Money by Different Dimension

Hello March! It’s March already??!

I was through my stash hoping to use some of the unused old colours and to my dismay I found a few of them have changed colour. I don’t expect any indie polishes or the mainstream polishes for that matter to last forever. After all they are chemicals. I blame myself for not using them soon. I noticed that neon and purple hues tend to be the ones that change colour.

Today I am going to show you two old colours that fortunately remain gorgeously intact in its original state – Money and Good Evening Clarice by Different Dimension. I decided to pair them together in this swatch as they complimented each other very well.

Good Evening Clarice (thumb, index and pinkie) from the 2013 Halloween Silence Of The Lamb collection is a pale minty green with scattered holo and the best part is it glows in the dark! Formula was a little sheer than I preferred and kind of uneven. It glows prominently in green in the dark. I used 3 coats with topcoat.

Money (middle and ring) from the Echoes collection is a white crelly base heavily loaded with gold, yellow, neon green hex and squares glitters and also my favourite large round glitters in blue, silver and black. Formula was a little sheer and you can spot some visible nail line at 3 coats. Application was easy and no fishing required. Two layers of topcoat were added.money by different dimension

I am a little disappointed with GEC’s formula but at least the strong gitd effect made it forgivable. Money was what I expected of; very pretty to look at.

As both of these were limited edition and have since been discontinued. Sorry to tease you all.

Different Dimension is available at Big Cartel, Mei Mei Signatures, and Rainbow Connection to name a few.

Rave by Jindie Nails

Hello folks! Merry Christmas to everyone! Hope everyone had a great Christmas or still having an extended celebration? I had a great time with my family and the extended family as usual. Maybe I ate and had too much fun that I came down with a fever and sore throat yesterday. If that is so I’d say it was worth it!

Today I am going to show you an oldies from Jindie Nails. I was digging through my stash and found that I’ve left this untouched for so long.

Rave is a white crelly base with magenta, blue, neon green, yellow hex and round glitters. The formula is a little on the sheer side and it required 4 coats for my nail length. I like the fact that the glitters were not buried despite using 4 coats. It was also self levelling.rave by jindie nailsrave by jindie nails(1)rave by jindie nails(2)rave by jindie nails(3)rave by jindie nails(4)

If I’ll be honest I am less incline to use glitters polishes these days due to the removal process but I’m glad that I revisited this again. It is very pretty on the nails and it reminded me why I loved it so much in the first place and I have tons of polishes like these in my stash… untouched still!

You can still find Rave at Jindie Nails and Mei Mei Signatures. Otherwise check at these Authorized Distributors

Seahorse Rodeo by Smitten Polish

Hello everyone! My nail polish stash is ever growing and this has not stopped me from buying especially when I cross path with a gorgeous colour, the enormous number of untrieds don’t seem to matter anymore. I am sure many nail polish addicts can relate to this. So I was browsing over at Beauty So Fly and stumbled upon this beauty, Seahorse Rodeo by Smitten Polish from the Summer 2014 collection, and knew that I want it pronto!

Seahorse Rodeo is a bright turquoise jelly base with densely packed holographic glitters. The glitters are very fine and super sparkly. From the bottle I thought that this would be very sheer but it has the right amount of glitters to cover up the nails in 2 coats but I went for a third coat to accentuate the sparkle effect. Great formula and I simply love it. Topcoat was included.seahorse rodeo by smitten polishseahorse rodeo by smitten polish(1)seahorse rodeo by smitten polish(3)seahorse rodeo by smitten polish(2)seahorse rodeo by smitten polish(4)

I purchased this beauty from Beauty So Fly else you can check out Smitten Polish or their international stockist.

She Twerks Out & Partners In Lime by Kbshimmer

Hey folks!

I’ve been spending the past two weekends trying to arrange my enormous nail polish stash in to place. It was lying around all over the place and getting out of hand. I had nail polishes on the manicure table, floor, a kitchen trolley (which I use it to hold nail polishes of course!), and I often cannot find exactly which drawers they are located at. So I had them down one by one on a spreadsheet and labelled my Muji drawers with brand names. I also finally know how many bottles of nail polishes I have in total; let’s just say it is a little insane. Haha! It is an addiction for sure.

Continuing with that addiction, lately I acquired two beautiful colours from the Early Summer 2014 Collection by KbshimmerShe Twerks Out and Partners In Lime.

Both of these have the same type of formula so I’ll just sum it up here. The consistency is slightly on the thick side but it is quite inevitable due to the amount of glitters in it but they are nowhere difficult to apply. I would advise to coat each coat as thin as possible, swipe the brush against the bottle neck more often that you would with a normal polish and wait for it to dry a little longer before doing the next coat. Both of the photos are showing 2 coats and no topcoat was added.

She Twerks Out, which I am wearing on my thumb, index and pinkie, is a gorgeous bright turquoise glitter textured polish. It is infused with holographic teal, lime green, aqua and violet glitters.

Partners In Lime, which I am wearing on my middle and ring, is another gorgeous lime green glitter textured polish with golden undertone. They are filled with lime green, gold and aqua holographic glitters.partners in lime by kbshimmerpartners in lime by kbshimmer(1)she twerks out by kbshimmer(1)she twerks out by kbshimmer

I love both of these to bits, they are really fun and cheerful to wear, totally very summer looking. I wore this mani for 6 days and really happy that they had only minimal tip wear and didn’t stain at all.

I bought both of these as with many of my Kbshimmer stash from Harlow & Co. If you living in the US you can buy them directly from Kbshimmer
